Spinach Burgers

October 8, 2013 by dietsmarter Leave a Comment

spinach burgersFor the vegetarians out there, here’s a spinach burger that’s high in protein, low in carbs and totally meat free. This Spinach Burger recipe is fast and easy to make and tastes great. Some might initially flinch at the concept of a green patty but the biggest carnivores you know will devour this veggie burger and ask for another.

These low calorie green burgers are a good source of protein, Iron, Vitamin A, and Calcium. Each serving has a couple of grams of fiber and they are low in fat. Especially compared to the typical beef version, these are very low in saturated fat.

Some substitutions are fresh garlic for powder, and cracker crumbs if you’re out of bread crumbs. For the spicy lovers sprinkle some Tabasco into the mix.
